I heart Faces is having yet another photo sharing contest. This theme is Excited!!! I was so excited becasue I had the perfect photo. The photo crop is not the greatest I cut off poor Lillies hands but her facial expression is perfect. I love seeing the little lines in her neck!

The girls were waiting in line for the trackless train at Bay Shore Camp up in Sebwing, Michigan. We were the guest speakers for this family camp. It’s a beautiful camp grounds with lot to do for the family.

New Face Soap

So this is what I’ve been using for the last two weeks. I purchased this in Washington DC at the Farmer Market downtown on the Mall. I was getting ready to purchase homemade soap from my blog friend Amy at Great Cake Soap Works, but ran across this that same week. I bought it for $6 and it seems to be doing a pretty good job.

This is my first experience with a bar soap on my face and I am quite pleased. (Amy, I’d like to know how your compares to this and what else may be in your bar of face soap) My face has not be dry and I have not be putting any lotion on it. I don’t k now if this is good or not?

Thank for all your help blogger friends! You all gave great insight. There are a few things i’d like to try as soon as summer comes again and I’m not on such a tight budget.

Update:

*Our church plant is hold its own at a consistent 30-35 people for the last 3 weeks. We see a few new families each week. If we could just get everyone together at the same time that would be great! We still are in need a few items and are praying for a few different options.

*This weekend is my grandpa’s 80th birthday party. I’m excited to see lot of family.

* Lillie is still loving school and Autumn’s spelling words are soooo hard! Which doesn’t say much since I’m such a poor speller! lol

*Bookings are still coming in for the halloween season for inflatables, which is great for the budget. Thank you LORD… Our provider!

I’m so glad to be home and setting into a routine again… Lots to blog about but I’ll save that for another day.

When does a girl shave her legs?

I remember shaving my legs in 5th grade. I knew that Autumn would be asking soon to shave her legs. I had decided that when she does ask I would let her. There will plenty more topics to argue over!

Last week Autumn as not wanting to wear her tight leggings because it bothers the hair on her legs. She has so many cute out fits to wear with her tight leggings and never wears them. Now I know why. So I told her to shave her legs! Crazy mom! So we did.

Autum is 9 years old and in 4th grade, it may be to young, it may not be? All I do know is that she was hilarious and so excited! When she was finished I told her to go and put lotion on her legs. As she sat down on the floor with the lotion she says…

“OH MY GOODNESS, my legs feel like HEAVEN!”

So when did you shave your legs and when do you think you’ll let your daughter?

Memory Lane Monday …

Oh how I miss that baby sling!!

I got rid of it way to soon!

This weekend we were at the Pumpkin Festival, not without our inflatables of course! It was a rainy, cold and yucky day. We had to barrow beach towels to dry the inflatables a few times. I got a little time away to check out a few vender booths. I make this sling out of the large beach towel so I could carry Lillie close, in and out of the rain between craft booths. I was glad the Lillie had brought her Sleeping Beauty umbrella.

We made it work and had a great day with friends and family!

Muslims pray at the Captial in Washington

Paul and I got to go to Washington DC on Friday. It just happened to be that 50,00o muslims were expected to show up to pray at the capital. However according to this only about 1,000 showed. I’d say that that was about right, because I seen it with my very eyes!

What saddens me is the protesters. Sometimes we Christian are not very tactful in what we do to show Christ’s love. These people were preaching HELL through a sound system and handing out tracts. Of course the Muslims were not taking them, they were applaud and rolling their eyes.

I noticed that these protesters never smiled. I feel that a bigger statement would have been made if they would have just prayed quietly in small groups not wearing Christian T-Shirts. I just felt like Christians got another bad name again today.

Anyhow, enough of that! Paul and I were alone and it was nice. We did miss Autumn though because she is now of an age where she could understand more about this amazing place. ( She’s been here twice but she was only about 2 and 4 years old.)

If you look closely at the white house I do believe I could have captures a Special person on film!

I wish my zoom on my camera was a bit better. But could that be the President’s wife??? You be the judge!! You can’t see it as well as I can. The photo is much bigger on my computer. hummm. . .

I am always amazed at the Metro. It’s like an underground city. If you think about it?? It’s huge…

It makes me wonder what else is underground in Washington DC??? More than we’ll ever know I’m sure!

While in DC we didn’t have time to do any museums, we just walked the mall. We stopped at the Local farmers Market right there at the Mall and had lunch. I also bough myself some new homemade face soap.

It’s nice to he home we missed the girls.
